The Good News:

JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

— John 3:16

The gospel literally means Good News—and it’s the best news ever.

So, What’s the Big Deal?

  • We’ve all messed up. All of us.
  • Sin separates us from God, and we can’t fix it on our own.
  • But God? He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to take our place.
  • If we believe in Him and confess it, we’re saved—boom!
  • After that, God wants us to actually know Him—through prayer (just talking to Him), reading the Bible (His words to us), and being around other believers (community).

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

The Problem: Sin is a Real Thing

From the beginning (literally—Adam & Eve level beginning), sin has been a thing. And it’s a big deal. Even if we think we’re pretty good people, sin is still there, and God, being holy, can’t just ignore it. It has to be paid for.

The Solution: Jesus Did What We Couldn’t

Romans 6:23 puts it bluntly: “The wages of sin is death.” Yikes. But thankfully, it doesn’t end there: “But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God wasn’t about to leave us stuck. He gave us a way out—His own Son. Jesus took the hit for us, dying on the cross to pay for everything we’ve ever done wrong.

What’s Our Role in This?

Honestly? Nothing.

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” — Romans 5:6

A lot of people think if they try hard enough, do enough good, or clean up their act, they can earn their way to Heaven. But that’s not how it works. Jesus did the work. All we have to do is accept the gift. That’s the Good News!

How Do You Respond?

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
It’s that simple. Believe in Jesus. Say it out loud. That’s it. No hoops to jump through, no perfect record required—just faith.

What’s Next?

When we accept Jesus, our future—both here on Earth and in eternity—is completely transformed.

  • Eternal life: We are promised an eternity in Heaven with the Lord. “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13
  • A full life now: Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10
